My interest lies in Automation, Autonomous systems, and designing Human-AI interaction mechanics. Over the years, I have gained experience in building automation systems based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques. My current role at the Institute of Flight Guidance, German Aerospace Center (DLR) is to shape the landscape of future Air Traffic Control Systems. To fulfill this role, I am actively involved in multiple projects that include DLR internal and Europian-funded SESAR projects. The multi-discipline LOKI project focuses on understanding and developing an interaction concept between a human air traffic controller and an AI-based controller. In this project, I lead the main work package that focuses on developing the interaction concept and implementing a demonstrator.

In my previous job assignment at the Information Systems and Machine Learning Lab (ISMLL), University of Hildesheim, I had built an automation solution for leasing vehicle return assessment in collaboration with Volkswagen Finacial Services. It involves damage detection from car images using Object Detection models and estimates the cost of repairs, reducing variance in the cost of repairs by up to 50 %. Additional projects include assessing the electric car-sharing business model coupled with renewable energy sources through setting up a data pipeline, performing data analysis, and ascertaining transferable parameters. Before that, I was actively involved in the research and development of software solutions for a high-performance computing environment, focusing on improving system efficiency.
